Unusually transparent — it discloses irradiance and spectrometer testing that most brands hide. Its headline efficacy figure (“over 96% of participants”) is brand-run rather than independent, as with almost every consumer mask. The 465 nm blue adds antibacterial and anti-inflammatory action for acne-prone skin alongside the core red and near-infrared, and the 530 nm green remains a bonus.

#Transparency most rivals won’t match

Most brands won’t tell you how much light their mask actually delivers. Dr. Renú does: it publishes an irradiance of up to 50 mW/cm² and states the output is spectrometer-tested on an EVERFINE HAAS-1200. As our irradiance and dose guide explains, that figure is the single most useful number for predicting whether a mask can work — and publishing it, openly inviting scrutiny, is exactly the behaviour we reward and most of the category avoids.

The certification file backs that up: an FDA 510(k) Class II clearance, CE marking, ISO 13485 manufacturing and IEC 60601/62471 safety testing. Paired with 280 LEDs, a flush flexible-silicone fit and a 24-month warranty, it is simply a lot of well-documented device for about €275.

#Four wavelengths, led by the two that matter most

It runs the two best-evidenced wavelengths in skincare — 630–660 nm red and 850 nm near-infrared — and adds 465 nm blue and 530 nm green on top. The core red and near-infrared pairing is exactly what the anti-ageing literature supports.

The 465 nm blue mode is the one to reach for if you break out. Blue light is antibacterial against C. acnes, the bacterium involved in acne, and calms the inflammation that makes spots red and sore — which is why blue modes appear on acne-focused masks and why our top-ranked red-and-near-infrared-only picks can’t help there (see our red vs blue guide). Most acne trials use ~415 nm specifically. Green has the thinnest evidence of the four. You get the wavelengths that matter, plus a genuinely useful acne mode — without paying a premium for them.

Two things stand out. It is the only mask here that runs four wavelengths, and one of only three — alongside The Light Salon and CurrentBody — willing to publish an irradiance figure at all. Against the €450 tier it gives up nothing on wavelengths, LED count or certification, which is the whole basis of our value verdict. The masks that beat it on acne specifically are the three running 415 nm blue, and only the Dr. Dennis Gross pairs that with a shorter session.

Its headline efficacy figure — “over 96% of participants” — is the manufacturer’s own data rather than independent research, which is true of almost every consumer LED mask (and we treat all of them the same way).
