The Light Review is an independent publication that reviews and ranks LED face masks for readers in Europe. We exist because this category is full of confident marketing and thin evidence — and almost every “best of” list is monetised in ways the reader can’t see.
#What we do
We assess the LED masks Europeans can actually buy against a fixed, published rubric: clinical evidence, wavelengths and dose, certification integrity, fit, safety and value. We read the underlying dermatology literature, verify certification claims, and separate independent research from manufacturer marketing. Then we rank on merit and explain our reasoning — including why devices we didn’t recommend fell short.
#Who writes this
Articles are published under the The Light Review editorial team byline. We think that is more honest than attaching a single invented “expert” name to evidence that stands on its own citations. Our credibility comes from transparent methods and real, checkable sources, not from credentials we ask you to take on faith. Where a claim rests on research, we cite it; where the evidence is weak, we say so.
#Our standards
- We take no payment for coverage or ranking — read our independence statement.
- We attribute manufacturer figures as claims, and flag brand-funded studies.
- We date everything and correct mistakes openly — see our editorial policy.
- We write in measured language and avoid medical over-claims.
